Compliance is the process an organization uses to ensure its activities conform to the organization's policies and procedures and applicable rules, including Federal requirements. Compliance is important for many reasons, but most importantly, it ensures funds are used to provide high-quality services to your community. If you have not thought about compliance before, now is the time to start! Learn more about compliance by taking the trainings below.
Since OIG released the trainings below, it made public new General Compliance Program Guidance (GCPG) on which the trainings are modeled. The GCPG is a reference guide for the health care compliance community and other health care stakeholders. In addition, recipients of grants from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services may find the guidance useful when establishing compliance programs for their organizations. The GCPG provides information about relevant Federal laws, compliance program infrastructure, OIG resources, and other items useful for understanding health care compliance. The GCPG is voluntary guidance that discusses general compliance risks and compliance programs. The GCPG is not binding on any individual or entity. Download the guide in whole or access individual sections.
