Saul Ewing’s Condominium and Community Associations Practice is pleased to once again offer its annual summary of the Illinois Condominium Property Act (“ICPA”).
The Illinois General Assembly and the Illinois courts were active in 2022 with respect to condominium and community association matters. The annual summary includes changes to the Illinois Condominium Property Act (“ICPA”) and a description of some of the key court decisions from 2022. These decisions range from invalidating elections and meeting notices sent by email without an appropriate rule to allowing the appointment of a receiver to govern a dysfunctional association.
